A statement from the Board of Directors

Church records were exported from our systems without the Board’s authorization. This page sets out what we found, what we have done, and where the matter now stands.

Issued September 6, 2026 · Dare to Imagine Church, Inc. · 6610 Anderson Street, Philadelphia

What the security log shows

What information was involved

The exported lists held contact information for people connected to this church.

  • Active family and household rosters
  • Members who joined during 2025
  • First-time visitors
  • Parents of children ages 0–18, members and non-members
  • A list of active givers, including street addresses

If you are on any of these lists, your contact information may have left our systems. The Board takes that seriously and is being guided by counsel on what follows.

The July 11 export is different in kind

Every other export captured attendance or contact information. This one filtered for active givers and required a street address on file.

List criteria as recorded in the log (Donor Status is 'Active' AND Address Any Type exists) AND (Street address exists)

A list of who gives to this church, paired with where they live, has no use in the ordinary work of ministry once someone has left it. That is why this export is being reported to you.

What we have done

  1. Secured our systems

Reviewed every connected application, integration, and account, and removed access the Board could not account for.

  2. Preserved the record

The complete security history has been documented and retained, and the screenshots are published on this page.

  3. Engaged legal counsel

The Board has retained counsel and is acting on their advice.

Where things stand

The Dare to Imagine Church Board of Directors has engaged counsel and will be guided by legal advice and by our obligations to this congregation.

We will say more as we are able. We ask for your patience, your prayers, and your care for one another in the meantime.
